Hello Folks!

In this post I’m going to give you my best description of why we have anxiety, where it comes from, and how to get rid of it. Or greatly reduce it! Pretty ambitious for one post!

Please read on.

If there was ever any question on this blog that was as often asked as “How To Cure Anxiety”  I haven’t seen it!

How To Cure Anxiety

Former Anxiety and Panic Attack Sufferer.

Anxiety is one of the most common conditions of the human race… right up there with happiness (contentment) only at the opposite end of the scale.

Basically anxiety is fear. Fear of the future.

Panic attacks are one thing. Anxiety attacks are probably the same thing. They are both fear.

The name doesn’t matter too much to the person who is suffering through this nightmarish hell of confused thoughts that feel like a mental breakdown.

But this isn’t some odd thing that happens to a few. We all have the genetic information to panic on demand or, at the least, feel VERY anxious!

Anxiety is us anticipating the confrontation of a dangerous foe. It can be work or just “future fear”.

But it’s that we imagine having even less of the little that we have today. A coming loss. Possibly imminent. Possibly death. That’s life.

This is given to us all because we are all descended from survivors and survivors had to do certain things to survive!  They had to worry about where the next meal is coming from! In the beginning, and also not too far back, it was eat or be eaten. That’s anxiety!

I won’t belabor this point beyond the scope of this article which is to point out certain techniques that can be used to bring people’s lives into balance. What kind of balance?

We, as a species, have evolved to a place in time that lies between a miserable past and a frightening future. Or a future of hope. Now “original anxiety” is anxiety perpetuated.

How to cure anxiety?  You can’t really get rid of it completely and realizing that is the first step to bringing balance to your life. This realization moves you away from fear and toward contentment.

There are techniques, methods, practices that can be easily introduced into almost anyone’s life that will greatly reduce anxiety and anxiety’s evil twin, panic attacks, while giving you strength.

Once again, these are normal emotions (feelings) that have gotten out of balance.

How do we move toward balance?

Well, if anxiety is fear of a future event that we don’t like the idea of, then we need something that gives us strength! Mental, moral, physical strength. All or part.

Here’s one way to get that strength you need. For many it’s too simple. They can’t do it. They have no faith in it’s efficacy.

Yet, when you realize what it is, and it is the regaining of strength, you will believe it because it only makes sense. When you believe, you have faith, and faith is the absence of fear.

Here are the ways (methods) you can believe will help you rebuild your strength.

One way is sleep. Recharge your batteries! It’s one of the main and most important ways we have to regain our strength. Get plenty of it.

And diet! Are you feeding yourself well? You know what to do. Be sure to reduce or eliminate completely the use of caffeine.

Exercise. A lot of people don’t like this but it can be done in a way that isn’t hard, doesn’t get you all sweaty, and will build your strength.  Just go for a walk. Every other day or more if possible.

Recreation! And the fourth way to cure anxiety (build strength) is to relax and recreate. Tear that word recreate apart sometime!  Going for walks covers one way to do that. A sort of two for one.

Relaxation comes in many forms. Go to a movie. Watch TV. Read a book. Sit someplace and watch people go by. Get an ice cream cone.

These four things will go a long way toward putting you in balance, but another very effective, perhaps best, way is to change your thinking!

After all, this whole thing is about thinking, isn’t it?  How to cure anxiety isn’t the only question here. Another good question is “How to think?”

And “how to think” pretty much describes “how to live”.

Don’t worry. You are going to get your life back. If you take certain steps.

Here’s to your success,
